Happy Easter!

I went the traditional route this Easter and spent it with family- went to visit my ickle bro in Norf Landan - he is a jammy bastard and moved In with a bunch of really safe people- not only that but they're all talented, creative, pro-active...erm wreckheads hah! so my kinda people.

Anyway, it was my second trip up town this week, the first one being to see "Manchester Orchestra" in Camden on Wednesday. [brag] my mate works at abbey road so it was free [/brag]. both visits have strengthened my resolve to actually get something done and get where i want to be. which is London. i need to get a half decent career in graphics started, i need to get the VJ thing back on the rails, i need to take advantage of still being young and and resilient and full of hope and desire still.

I need to be where i can make connections and be inspired and be near people who actually have dreams and aspirations and are willing to fight/suffer/kill for it. and i love my homecrew, but one thing my hometown does not foster is wild creative flight. it is a place of mediocrity, familiarity, comfort, conservatism and bullshit. It has been infecting me. this must stop.

So! i need to make a plan. i need to re-double the efforts in getting me a London graphics job. i must stop using excuses and realise that the only person who is gonna get me to where I'm going is me.

Life is a Laugh
this well cheered me up, even tho it's hardly ground-breaking, it was still a very welcome sight. me and Finbar went to teh Science Museum and the V&A. and then got wrecked. heh.

Man O
This was Manchester orchestra at Camden barfly last Wednesday. for the record, they are neither and orchestra or from Manchester. A bunch of yanks, in fact. and they might have been fantastic, or it might just be that i haven't been to see any live music for ages an was all excited. Bless.
