Design Orchard
Is going to be the name of my new company, i think. Have been working on a background illustration for the website, and decided it was high time I put some serious effort into learning the pen tool in illustrator and photoshop... definitely making progress, although still have quite a hill to climb. i will get there! (i'm self/google taught, so any advice gratefully received)

added a few strokes and gradients

original pen marks with pen paths used for colour block

Squirrel and bird have their moment. tempted to re-draw but know i should press on with sorting the grasses and shading under each tree. Dont want to get too lost in the detail... yet.

The relaxed happy laughter and bonding contentment over the naive, clichéd, bullshit lyrics made a mental image between us, which i now lazily lay before you in glorious RGB...

Photoshop Birthday Collage
Easy now, It's been while since I last posted, i've been being fairly lazy recently, but it's my dad's birthday soon so I thought I'd finally get round to tarting up his old pics. He used to be an architect for the ILEA in London circa 1975, and he designed some pretty rad schools. I took his old portfolio, composited it a bit and printed and framed the two final images. Here they are:

Monkey art
was at a loose end on sunday and a friend wanted a version of the William Blake watercolour etching "Ancient of Days" but with a monkey as the ancient. He paid me in beer, it all got out of hand, but before it did, i changed this:
